SMM or social media marketing refers to the creation and distribution of content through social network sites (SNS) and optimizing this process is called the social media optimization. SMO also helps indirectly in SEO and branding for your web business. Creating viral content and promoting by placing link are a part of SMO but you need to actively participate in social media discussions and to create an online reputation of yours. 6. Use Yahoo answers, Mahalo, LinkedIn groups to contribute in areas of your expertise. Provide useful answers with proof and link back to your site. Do it regularly. Make a routine.
7. Seek and get genuine good reviews for social professional sites like LinkedIn,yelp, epinions,Google places etc. This will help you in long run. You might not get the immediate result but you will get new good leads and repeat customers in long run. Always remember to add value and never ever spam!
